# Using Smart Widgets

Add interactive widgets that display personalized, real-time information.

Smart widgets provide users with dynamic, personalized content—such as assigned tasks or relevant documentation—directly on the Home Page. These widgets automatically adapt based on each user’s role, permissions, and activity, offering seamless access to key information without requiring additional navigation.

**Available Widgets:**

* My Documentation
* My Tasks

***

## My Documentation

The **My Documentation** widget displays a personalized, filterable list of documentation relevant to each user—such as processes, documents, risks, and process mining projects. Content is dynamically surfaced based on the user’s roles, responsibilities, and interests, minimizing the need for manual searches.

Cards are sorted by recent user activity (viewed, edited, or modified). Scroll horizontally to browse.

<details>

<summary><strong>Understanding Process Associations</strong></summary>

For processes and flow objects, the widget includes both **direct** and **indirect** associations:

* **Direct**: You are assigned a role or resource on the process (via the RASCI-VS matrix).
* **Indirect**: You are assigned a role or resource on one or more flow objects (e.g., a task or gateway) within the process.

For flow object cards, the parent process name is shown at the bottom.

# Agent Instructions
This documentation is published with GitBook. GitBook is the documentation platform designed so that both humans and AI agents can read, navigate, and reason over technical content effectively. Learn more at gitbook.com.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://interfacing.gitbook.io/interfacing-help-files/administration-and-configuration/managing-and-customizing-the-home-page/editing-the-home-page/using-smart-widgets.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
