# Managing Internal Audits (Apps)

Use the Audit Management application to define, plan, execute, and track internal audits.

## Overview

The **Audit Management** application manages internal audits through two interconnected workflows:

* **Audit Program Management** — governs the creation, review, and approval of audit programs
* **Audit Planning & Execution** — manages planning, scheduling, and execution of individual audits

Together, these workflows support the full internal audit lifecycle, from definition and approval through execution, review, and closure.

{% hint style="info" %}
All internal audits are logged, assigned, and tracked in a centralized system, ensuring visibility, accountability, and compliance with organizational standards.
{% endhint %}

## Audit Requirements & Testing

Before creating or executing audit programs, relevant requirements must be configured. These can be supported by tests and evidence to enable structured validation during audit execution.

* **Requirements** — what will be evaluated during the audit
* **Tests** — how requirements are evaluated
* **Evidence** — the data or documentation collected during testing

These components are managed under:

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://interfacing.gitbook.io/interfacing-help-files/auditors/managing-internal-audits-apps.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
