Markdown versions of documentation pages are available by appending `.md` to page URLs; this page is available as [Markdown](https://interfacing.gitbook.io/interfacing-help-files/business-continuity/executing-business-management-plans-apps.md). # Executing Business Management Plans (Apps) Use the Business Continuity application to execute and manage operational plans during actual disruption events. ## Overview The **Business Continuity** (**BC**) application supports the execution and management of operational plans through the **Plan Execution & Closure** workflow. {% hint style="info" %} #### Operational Plan Types The application supports the execution of the following plan types: * **Business Continuity Plan** (**BCP**): A plan that ensures critical business functions remain operational during and after a disruption. * **Crisis Management Plan** (**CMP**): A plan that outlines how to respond to and mitigate the impact of unexpected crises. * **Disaster Recovery Plan** (**DRP**): A plan that focuses on restoring critical operations, systems, and infrastructure after a disaster or major disruption. {% endhint %} All plan executions are managed and tracked in a centralized system, ensuring visibility, accountability, and compliance with organizational standards. *** ## Application Prerequisites Before users can execute operational plans, administrators must configure the following settings:

BC Settings

**Disaster Types** Define the types of disasters that can impact business operations. **Disaster Threat Vectors** Define the threat vectors that can disrupt business operations. **Responsibilities & Tasks List** Define default responsibility assignments for operational plans.

General Settings

**Location** Define geographical or operational locations relevant to your organization.

Select the **Apps** tile in the side navigation bar. 2. On the **Apps** page, either: * Expand **Business Continuity** in the navigation tree, or * Navigate to the **Business Continuity** section in the application gallery.

Business Impact Analysis	Use this category to create and manage BIAs.
Business Management Plans	Use this category to create and manage operational plans.
Execute Plans	Use this category to execute operational plans during actual disruption events.
Simulate Plans	Use this category to simulate and validate operational plans.
Action Item Management	Use this category to create, execute, and manage action items.
Settings	Use this category to configure settings for the BC application.

Execute Business Continuity Plan	Use this module to initiate and manage the execution of a BCP.
List of Executed Business Continuity Plans	Use this module to view executed BCPs, tracking their progress through the workflow.
Execute Crisis Management Plan	Use this module to initiate and manage the execution of a CMP.
List of Executed Crisis Management Plans	Use this module to view executed CMPs, tracking their progress through the workflow.
Execute Disaster Recovery Plan	Use this module to initiate and manage the execution of a DRP.
List of Executed Disaster Recovery Plans	Use this module to view executed DRPs, tracking their progress through the workflow.
