The **Project View** includes several modes for visualizing, exploring, and analyzing your process, including any simulated scenarios. Each mode provides a unique perspective designed to support specific types of analysis. *** ## Available View Modes To switch between modes, use the **View** dropdown in the **Project Toolbar.** * [**Discovery Map**](#discovery-map-default-view) — A visual map of how cases flowed through the process. * [**BPMN**](#bpmn-diagram) — A structured view of the process using **Business Process Model and Notation**. * [**Data Table**](#data-table) — A table displaying raw event log data. * [**Animation**](#animation) — A time-based playback of process execution, showing how cases progress through the workflow.

{% hint style="info" %} Filters you apply remain active when switching between views, ensuring a consistent analysis experience. {% endhint %} *** {% stepper %} {% step %} ### Discovery Map (Default View) The **Discovery Map** is an interactive visualization of your process, generated from the event log data. It highlights the **sequence** and **frequency** of activities across all cases, helping you identify common paths and variations.

#### Activities Activities are shown as horizontal cylinders, each labeled with the activity name. A **rhombus** icon to the left of each activity indicates how frequently the activity occurs across cases. * **High Frequency:** Large, dark-colored rhombus * **Medium Frequency:** Medium-sized, medium-colored rhombus * **Low Frequency:** Small, light-colored rhombus

#### Paths Between Activities Lines connecting activities represent transitions in the process and are also coded by frequency. * **High Frequency:** Thick, dark line * **Medium Frequency:** Medium-thickness, medium-colored line * **Low Frequency:** Thin, light-colored line

*** {% endstep %} {% step %} ### Data Table The **Data Table** presents the complete dataset from your uploaded event log. Use this view to examine individual cases, analyze case progression, and compare attribute values across columns.

#### Customizing Columns * **To customize a column:** Hover over the header and click the **kebab menu** () to access options for sorting, filtering, grouping, and more.

Column Settings

Column settings allow you to control how data is organized, displayed, and interacted with in the table.

* **Sorting** * **Sort Ascending (ASC) / Descending (DESC):** Order rows by the column’s values in ascending or descending order. * **Unsort**: Removes the current sort. {% hint style="success" %} **Tip:** Click the column header to toggle through ascending, descending, and unsorted states (ascending → descending → unsorted). {% endhint %} * **Pinning** * **Pin to Left / Right:** Locks the column to the left or right side of the table for easier comparison. * **Unpin**: Restores the column to its original position. * **Filtering** * Opens a panel for creating filter conditions: * **Column**: Select the column to filter. * **Operator**: Select a comparison type (e.g., equals, contains). * **Value**: Enter the value to match.

{% hint style="info" %} * You can add multiple filters by clicking **Add Filter**. * Use **AND** / **OR** to define how filters are combined. * Click **Remove All** to clear all filters, or remove individual filters using the **X** icon. {% endhint %} * **Aggregation** * Select an aggregation function (e.g., count, sum) from the dropdown. * To remove an aggregation, reopen the menu and deselect the current function. * **Grouping** * **Group by Column:** Organizes rows into collapsible groups based on shared values in the selected column. * **Stop Grouping**: Removes grouping and restores the flat table view. * **Hide Column** * Removes the column from the current view. * **Manage Columns** * Opens a panel for customizing column visibility: * **Show** or **hide** columns by selecting/deselecting them * Use the **Show/Hide All** checkbox to toggle all columns at once * Click **Reset** to restore the default column layout

* **To resize a column:** Hover near the right edge of the header until the resize cursor appears, then click and drag to adjust the width. *** {% endstep %} {% step %} ### Animation The **Animation** view replays the process over time as a heat map, showing how cases move through the workflow. This view includes a **Slider Panel** with the following controls: * **Timeline Slider**: Jump to or play from a specific point in time (based on event log timestamps). * **Speed Slider**: Adjust playback speed (range: 0.5x to 5.0x; default: 1x). * **Play/Stop Button**: Start or pause the animation.

While the animation plays, the heat map updates in real time to reflect activity frequency, and timing. You can adjust the sliders during playback to navigate the process—speeding up, slowing down, or jumping to key moments.
