From task assignments and approval requests to published versions and other object updates, you can quickly review what requires your attention and navigate directly to the related item.

*** ## Using the Notifications Panel The Notifications panel provides a centralized view of your notifications. You can filter notifications, review unread activity, and open the related module or object without interrupting your workflow. {% stepper %} {% step %} ### Accessing Notifications Select the **Notifications** tile in the side navigation bar. The **Notifications panel** opens from the left side of the application, displaying your available notifications. {% endstep %} {% step %} ### Filtering Notifications Use the filters at the top of the panel to narrow down your notifications. You can filter by:


Notification Type Select one or more notification types to display, for example: Task assignments Published versions Reminders Updates to documentation
Documentation Type Select one or more object types, such as Process, Risk, Control, or other documentation type.
Date Range Select a start and end date to display notifications from a specific period.

{% hint style="warning" %} When multiple values are selected within the same filter, notifications matching ***any*** of the selected values are displayed.
When multiple filters are applied, notifications must match ***all*** selected filter categories. {% endhint %} {% endstep %} {% step %} ### Opening a Notification Select a notification to navigate directly to the related module (e.g., To Do, Posts), task, or documentation item. {% endstep %} {% step %} ### Pinning the Notifications Panel By default, the **Notifications panel** opens as a floating panel. To keep the panel sticky while working: 1. Open the **Notifications panel**. 2. Select the **Pin** icon (

) 3. To return to the default view, select the **Unpin** (

) icon. {% endstep %} {% endstepper %} *** ## Configuring Notifications in IMS During the transition from the legacy EPC platform to the new IMS, administrators can control whether notification links open in **IMS or EPC**. This gives organizations the flexibility to transition at their own pace and enable the new notification experience when they are ready. {% hint style="success" %} By default, notifications open in **EPC.** {% endhint %} #### To configure notification links to open in IMS: 1. Go to **EPC**. 2. In **System Admin**, access the **Advanced** tab. 3. Find the **`Notification_Redirect_New_UI`** setting. 4. Edit the setting and set its value to `true`. 5. Select **Apply Changes** at the top of the page. Once enabled, notification and object links will redirect users to the corresponding location in IMS. This also applies to links included in notification **emails**. *** ## See Also
