It supports two related workflows: * **Action Item Management** — governs the creation, execution, review, and closure of action items * **Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) Management** — manages the creation, investigation, review, and resolution of supplier-related issues, either independently or as part of an action item {% hint style="info" %} All records are logged, assigned, and tracked in a centralized system, ensuring visibility, accountability, and compliance with organizational standards. {% endhint %} *** ## Application Prerequisites Before users can work with the **Action Item** application, administrators must configure the following settings:

General Settings

**Location** Define geographical or operational locations relevant to your organization. **Compliance Program** Define compliance programs applicable to your organization. **Frequency** Define the intervals at which activities are scheduled to occur. **Category** Define categories for classifying and organizing activities across the organization.

Action Item Settings

**Effectiveness Check** **Duration** Define durations used for effectiveness checks.

Select the **Apps** tile in the side navigation bar. 2. On the **Apps** page, either: * Expand **Action Item** in the navigation tree, or * Navigate to the **Action Item** section in the application gallery.

New Action	Use this module to create and submit a new action for execution.
Action Item List	Use this module to view all submitted action items, tracking progress through the workflow.
Action Item Reminder	Use this module to send reminders to responsible users for pending actions.
My Action List	Use this module to view all action items for which you are the assigned owner.
Create SCAR	Use this module to create and submit a new SCAR for processing.
SCAR List	Use this module to view all submitted SCARs, tracking progress through the workflow.
